Our favorite party cities in Europe
This summer, we’re throwing a party to celebrate our awesome travel community. We’ll be in 4 of our favorite party cities to host 4 events in collaboration with our friends at Generator Hostel – but even if you can’t make it, we definitely recommend checking out the nightlife in these 4 European hotspots.
Amsterdam, the Netherlands
We’re based in the Netherlands, so we might be biased, but Amsterdam is undoubtedly one of Europe’s most lively party cities. There are festivals and club nights to suit every taste, with huge events like Pride Amsterdam, King’s Day, and Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) attracting tons of visitors each year.
There’s also a lively bar scene and plenty of live music venues to choose from. We recommend checking out I amsterdam for event and club night listings throughout the city.
We’re throwing our party at Generator Amsterdam, a lively hostel in a converted university building in the heart of the city – what used to be the lecture hall is now an impressive chill-out lounge, and the boiler room is a secret late-night bar. If you’re traveling to Amsterdam this summer, RSVP to the event here for a chance to win a ticket to the party on July 10.
There’s often little distinction between bars and pubs in Paris – a drink in a bar that has a DJ playing can quickly become a club night around you.
The best clubbing scene in Paris is underground, with pop-ups and venue-switching DJ nights across the city. Fans of electronic music will be in for a treat, and there’s a lively Latin scene too. Check out Sortir à Paris for the latest listings.
If you’re in Paris on July 22, join us for a party at Generator Paris, a hip hostel 15 minutes from the Gare du Nord. Not only is there a club in the basement, but the views from the roof terrace are pretty spectacular. You can RSVP to the event here from 1 July onwards for a chance to win a ticket.
Cosy Copenhagen might be quieter during the week, but at weekends the city comes alive. Enjoy a classic club night at hotspots across the city center or head out to some of the hipper neighborhoods to find cool beats at underground bars. Parties start after midnight, and don’t worry about dressing to impress. Check out Visit Copenhagen for everything you need to know about a night out in the Danish capital.
If you’re in the city on 7 August, we’ll be at Generator Copenhagen at the heart of all the action. The night will include a visit to the coolest ice car in Copenhagen, the CPH Icebar – just RSVP to the event here from 17 July for a chance to win a ticket.
Berlin’s nightlife is infamous. It’s a city with no closing time, and parties will go on until the sun comes up and goes down again. Buses and trains run all night, and there’s always something happening nearby.
Famous for its techno scene, Berlin boasts two of the world’s best clubs, Berghain and Watergate – though they’re not for the faint-hearted. The city also hosts huge festivals like Melt and Lollapalooza, and of course Berlin Pride (known as Christopher Street Day or CSD) on July 27. Check out Visit Berlin to see what’s going on.
We’ll be at Generator Mitte in Berlin on 19 August, right in the city center, where you can enjoy a drink in the laidback bar or dance the night away in the brickworked basement. You can RSVP to the event here from 29 July for a chance to win a ticket.
