Nurnberg hosts one of the more famous christmas markets in Germany. Glühwein and Eierpunsch will keep you warm.

It is the Christmas market season! In Innsbruck I get a taste of the traditional delicacies.

In Belem

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
Belem is my favorite side-trip from Lisbon. Stroll along the waterfront and you’ll feel like you are walking into another place and time.

In Lisbon

Monday, October 27th, 2008
Lisbon is lovely. I enjoyed some great views over the old city and discovered that eating is entertaining. Unfortunately there is also a less charming side to the city: I was mugged in a dangerous neigborhood.

Salerno to Venezia (Venice)

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008
On way from Salerno to Venice we make a train stop in Napels. I’m a bit concerned about petty theft here, but time flies when talking an Italian naval officer.

Köln to Marseille

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008
My Eurail trip goes on by taking the train from Germany to Brussels. From there I travel further to the south of France.

Paris to Köln

Monday, June 30th, 2008
This is my first trip on the Thalys, the fast train that travels from Paris. I made the mistake of bringing my own snacks, I didn’t know they were served in first class.
