There’s a lot about Mozart in Salzburg, it being his birthplace. But my favorite site was the Hohensalzburg Fortress, considered the mightiest in Central Europe.
The views from atop the Castle are incredible, and here I learned that Salzburg was named after the city’s success with salt reserves.
