In Berlin

December 6, 2008 · Posted in Christmas, Eurail, sightseeing, train travel

Berlin features Germany’s big city Christmas markets, and as such offers some big city features, such as ferris wheels. The city is an explosion of lights at Christmas, with many markets filling streets and squares.

But one of the most enchanting scenes is to be found far from the markets: the solitary tree standing at the Brandenburg Gate. Each a symbol of hope, each standing tall alongside the other, having survived the test of time.
