Budapest to Warsaw

June 16, 2008 · Posted in Eurail

I´ve discovered a direct over-night train from Budapest to Warsaw that is not listed in the Eurail Timetable. It leaves Budapest Keleti at 20:00 and arrives in Warsaw Central at 7:20am.

A bed reservation with a Eurail Pass is 3800 Hungarian Forints or 15 Euros. This train is a great-time saver for anyone traveling East, as it saves connections in Vienna or Prague. Just make sure that you are in the right car that will go to Warsaw.

Train Tip:
Some train routes add additional schedules during peak summer months. Ask at the station for the most updated timetable.

Hello Andy — Are you using the Eurail Pass? If so, you need only to purchase the bed reservation, which you can do at Keleti Station in Budapest. Have fun! Benjamin

I am not sure how this global pass works; please explain the validity part, 15 days and 15 days within 2 months.
    Thanks

Hi Biljana, with a Pass of 15 days you can travel 15 consecutive days in a row, for example from 1 to 15 July.
With a Pass of 15 days within two months, you can choose yourself on which 15 days you want to travel by train in a period of 2 months. This is sometimes called a ‘flexi’ Pass.

Hello Marko — The best website that I have found to verify schedules daily is Deutsche Bahn´s website. Please verify the times there.
