Budapest to Amsterdam

November 13, 2008 · Posted in Eurail

I learn while on the train from Munich to Frankfurt that the connecting train I was hoping to catch to Amsterdam was suspended after summer. Luckily I still find credit on my German SIM-card and make plans to meet a friend for lunch while stopping-over in Frankfurt.

WonderlampTrain Tip: German train companies are very good about handing out a detailed train schedule on the train. I usually think it’s a waste of printed paper, but in this case it allowed me to realize that the schedule for a connecting train had changed. So check these leaflets, before throwing them into the recycle bin.
